Altered 5
Friday, September 12
7:00-8:30 pm
Main StageAltered Five smokes, smolders and burns like a swig of good whiskey. The hip Milwaukee quintet is known for its strong brew of tough, original blues and hard-hitting live shows. Blues Blast raves that barrel-chested front man Jeff Taylor possesses a “smooth, warm-toned voice as monumental and undeniable as Howlin’ Wolf with the finish and flourish of B.B. King.” Downbeat declares stealth guitarist Jeff Schroedl “reaches the high bar of mixed invention and fluidity.” Fueled by a rhythm section laying down the deepest grooves this side of the MGs, the five blues blasters hit the ground running 22 years ago and show no sign of easing up. Their seventh studio recording, Testifyin‘, was released in 2024 on Blind Pig Records.

Katrina deVille and The Nobody Famous
Friday, September 12
9:00-10:30 pm
Main StageFounded in Oshkosh in 2017, Katrina deVille and The Nobody Famous consists of Katrina deVille (vocals/tenor saxophone), Kelvin Kaspar (guitar), Ethan Brew (bass), David Brady (keyboards), Christopher Scheer (drums), Eric Sperry (trumpet), Kurt Shipe (trumpet), William Hill (trombone), Luke Busch (tenor saxophone), and Dan Zaffrann (baritone saxophone). The ten piece troupe has seen many changes throughout the years, most notably vocalist Katrina deVille coming out as openly transgender in early 2025. It is with her rebirth the band takes on a whole new life, one of fierce soul fire and determination as it claws its way up the R&B scene.
-
Dig 3
Friday, September 12
5:00-6:30 pm
Main StageUnfettered by convention, blues superheroes Andrew Duncanson, Ronnie Shellist, and one-man-band Gerry Hundt unite as Dig 3. Whiskey vocals, masterful harmonica, and keen original songs stay tethered to grooves only possible when the rhythm section is one person. Walking the tightrope between urgency and ease, Dig 3 creates roots music with power and subtlety - perfected by decades of house-parties and honky tonks.

Stephen Hull Experience
Stephen Hull gives the blues community exciting evidence that the future of music is in good hands. Born in 1999, a native of Racine, Wisconsin, Stephen Hull started playing blues at age 14 and never stopped, taking cues from Albert King and B.B. King as he developed his sweet, soulful guitar sound. Balancing that with his absolutely stellar lead vocals and infectiously buoyant personality, Stephen has been rising fast in the blues clubs of Chicago and venues across southeastern Wisconsin. Appearing in blues magazines such as Living Blues (U.S.) and Blues & Rhythm: The Gospel Truth (UK), Stephen has been interviewed by a myriad of media including Lake Effect (broadcast on Milwaukee’s NPR). From the Chicago Blues Fest to the Mississippi Valley Blues Fest, The Stephen Hull Experience is making headlines.
